It was really beautiful today. It is still so hot, but it is starting to cool down. I really miss Tennessee's fall. We've been working in New Orleans almost everyday now. Wow, that place sure does smell horrible! We stopped to eat there tonight. We had Louisiana's famous BBQ shrimp. They opened a few gas stations and a pizza place here in Bay St. Louis. Yes! I met a soldier the other day from Springhill, TN, and he said he knew people in Hohenwald and golfs there. I was excited to meet someone from home!
Ashley and I have been watching all these 80's movies lately at night. It's been great. (Dark Crystal, Thelma and Louise, Private Benjamin, Labyrinth, and I am watching Short Circuit right now)
The other day we went to a house that was completely demolished by the hurricane while the owner was inside. He died there, and we could see where they found him. It was really sad. We have taken that claim because they didn't have flood insurance, so the insurance co. doesn't want to give them money for it. It looks like it was most likely hit by a tornado though, so we are trying to prove that through evidence of the house and the body to get them insurance money. I feel good about being a part of trying to help them out.
I miss everyone so much! Ashley and I were trying to remember choir songs tonight as we drove back from New Orleans. We must have driven my dad crazy. We would sing half of one then move on to another because we couldn't remember it all. It was pitiful...
